Mobile Fun!

Cayson discovered the fun of mobiles today. I placed him in his bassinet while I was making the bed and I turned on the mobile & music. He hasn't slept in the bassinet for weeks and was never interested in the mobile. Today he just started grinning & laughing and watching it. It kept him entertained for 20 mintues while I got ready for the day. I thought it was so cute!

2 Months old and growing...

Just a note that Cayson went for his 2 month check-up. He was so well behaved. He got his shots and cried for maybe 15 seconds. He's such a good baby! He weighed 12 pounds, 4 ounces and was 24" long. The doctor kept calling him Bruiser. :) I'll close with a picture of our "Bruiser." This is the face he makes when Dusty blows on his face.

Leisurely Sundays...

We had a great Sunday yesterday. We went to church and than ate lunch with my parents, Rebecca, & Keith at the Oklahoma Steak House. Afterwards, Rebecca came over and took family pictures. Rebecca did an amazing job!!! She is awesome!

After the pictures, we went to my parents' and swam and relaxed. Dusty & Cayson pretty much hung out inside in the air conditioning. Here are some pictures of us lounging around the pool.

Welcome to Baths, Redhawks, Rain, & Greasy Pizza

Welcome to the new blog about our lives... though fairly normal & uneventful. I thought this would be a fun way to post what is going on in our lives and brag on our adorable son and show off pictures.

Speaking of showing off photos of our son.... here are a few from bath time. He actually loves baths - especially having his belly washed & having his hair washed. So silly...

Cayson & I bought Dusty tickets to last night's Redhawks game for Father's Day. Mom volunteered to watch Cayson since it was supposed to be pretty hot. It would have been okay to take him, but Mom really wanted to babysit and I didn't want to disappoint her. On our way to OKC, I was nearly bawling at leaving him behind. I didn't think I'd be like that, but I guess I am pretty attached to that handsome boy! Anyway, we got to Bricktown and parked and walked to Earl's to eat. Low & behold, the electricity was out at Bricktown so we couldn't eat anywhere! At this point it starts sprinkling so we walk to the ballpark and get in line to wait for the gates to open. Then it starts raining. We had some protection from the rain but I was shivering because I wore a sleeveless shirt. We got in and had to purchase me a t-shirt to keep warm. Then we bought some Hideaway Pizza for dinner and sat under the awning out of the rain... here's a picture of the box after we ate it... it was quite greasy...And here is a picture of Dusty belching after the greasy pizza....

Our seats were perfect for catching foul balls... we had to pay attention to the game or get a concussion! Dusty actually caught a foul ball and almost caught a second one. He had his bag of peanuts in his hand so he missed catching it. We were really missing Cayson, so being the young parents that we are, we left the game in the 3rd inning to get home to our boy. It did look like it was about to rain again and we didn't want to get soaked - that's our excuse! So, it was fun even though we were thinking about Cayson the whole time. He seemed to have had fun at Grandpa & Grandma's and didn't miss us much.

Here's Dusty with his foul ball and a picture of us without our baby. :(
