4 Months Old & Growing!
Cayson turned 4 months old today!!! He is growing and getting big. Dad weighed him the other day and he weighed 17 lbs! Now he has to get his 4 month shots next week. :(

He did roll over 3 times in a row this morning. It was so funny. I got to record it once, but it looks like he did it accidentally. So funny. I have been having problems loading the video into this post, so I will post it separately.

Cayson's New Accomplishments
I needed a post to share Cayson's newest "tricks." He has discovered his feet in the last week or so. It's funny because he loves to play with his hands and his feet.... he really doesn't need toys! He is so cute when he sucks his thumb and holds his foot with the other hand.
Yesterday he held his bottle on his own! It surprised me because we don't give him bottles very often so I didn't expect him to do hold it already.
That's all the bragging for today!
SWOSU Picnic & Tug-of-War
Last night was the annual SWOSU picnic followed by the Weatherford Police vs. Weatherford Fire Tug of War. It's actually called Guns 'N' Hoses Tug of War. After enjoying a delish dinner of fried chicken, baked beans, potato salad, rolls, veggies, & chocolate cake, the guys had to show their stuff in the tug of war. It was the best out of 3 rounds. The police department guys pulled and tugged and won round one. The PD guys sure didn't try on the second round and were tugged right across the line. So everything was on the line for the third and final round and of course, our guys pulled it out and won! Yay! Way to go guys!
It was a fun evening out and Cayson enjoyed being outside. Mom came for the tug of war and she held Cayson so I could get some good pictures. Thanks Mom! Cayson also got to see his cousin, Brayden, and they got to "hang out."
Oh, the police department is selling t-shirts for the tug of war in a contest between them and the fire dept to see who can sell the most. They are on sale through Nov. 3 and are $10. They are really cool - they have a bulldog dressed as a police man and one dressed as a fire man pulling on a hose. They are just like the ones the guys wore for the tug-of-war except they are white. Let us know if you want one!
And here are the pictures from our fun evening!

I LOVE the Hydro Fair!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last night was the 100th Hydro Free Fair. I convinced Dusty to take me because I just loooovvvveeee the Hydro Fair! Dad & Mom kept Cayson for us. We started the evening with dinner at Downtown Diner with Scott, Lindey, & Rylan. It was delish! Then we headed to the fair!!! Yay! It was a short night at the fair since Dusty had to go to work at 10. I was able to fit in 2 cotton candies and a ride on the ferris wheel along with a lot of visiting and people watching. Oy, yeah... by the way, I LOVE cotton candy too and it's only .50 at the fair. I had a pink one and a blue one! It was a fun evening though I missed Cayson.
And on the subject of Cayson, he had his first sleep-over last night. He spent the night with Grandpa & Grandma and slept better for them! Figures! Mom offered to keep him overnight so I could get some sleep. Thanks, Mom! I do feel refreshed today.
Here are a few pictures from the fair... starting with the obligatory self-portrait where I nearly missed myself.
Here's a better one while were in line at the ferris wheel.

Happy Birthday Dad!
Today is my dad's birthday... I won't tell how old he is... only that there were 55 candles on his birthday cake! We celebrated Dad's birthday last night with dinner, cake, & ice cream at my parents' house. It was a grand time... Mom thought it would be funny to put 55 candles on his cake... and it was hilarious... and smokey! Mom bought Dad a DVD burner so he can burn things that are on his TiVo to DVD. Dusty was a great son-in-law and spent yesterday afternoon hooking up the burner to everything so it would be set to go. Mom wrapped the empty box for Dad to open. He never even realized that the DVR was sitting next to the TV all day.

And here is the smoke...along with Mom's priceless look!
Can you guess who is the center of attention?

Cayson's a swimmer!
Yesterday Cayson actually swam in Mom's pool! I pulled him along and he kicked his feet somewhat. It was cute. Mom captured it with her camera, so here's our little swimmer!

Here are a couple adorable ones with Grandma

Most Photographed Baby
Brangelina & TomKat's kids have nothing on Cayson.... the paparazzi may photograph their every move, but Cayson has his mommy wielding a camera and catching every adorable moment.... so here are some "adorable" moments from recent days.

Lawton, Carnegie, Weatherford Oh My!
We had a busy weekend of family and friends. Friday night, Dusty and I had a mini date. Mom watched Cayson and we went out to eat at Downtown Diner - yum, yum and then we went over to Casey's house to meet his new "girlfriend." Don't know if they've progressed to that point yet. Anyway, it was a blast to get out and Mom fed, bathed, and put Cayson down for bed. It gave me a nice break. Thanks Mom!
Saturday, we were up early to head to Lawton for Holly's baby shower. Her little boy is due the first of October so Cayson & Luke will be about 5 months apart. She had a very cute shower with a cowboy/western theme. Afterwards, we went to eat at Chili's with her & Cody (& Luke). It was fun to catch up and to see them. I did christen Luke's changing pad and changed Cayson on it. Luckily, we had no messes. :) Here is a picture of Cayson & me with Holly. Her hostess took this one of us since I forgot to take any pictures.

Dusty then let me go to Goodies & Hobby Lobby in Lawton. I've actually never been to a Goodies but had heard about them. I got a few cute things and picked up some photo albums at Hobby Lobby. We have just a few photos since Cayson's come. Ha ha ha... more than a few!
On our way home from Lawton, we stopped in at Dusty's parents for a visit. Cayson was wanting to see his Nana & Papa! They made us a delicious dinner of grilled ribs, corn on the cob, rolls, baked beans, brownies, and ice cream. It was amazing! It was to see them and hang out.
I had my camera with me on Saturday but totally forget to take pictures! I'm so mad at myself. So no pictures of the Thrashers or our time in C-town.
Sunday was a stressful day though. Cayson woke up crying which he never does. We decided he had some tummy problems because he was very upset all morning and wouldn't nurse. He finally started feeling better early in the afternoon. We went to my grandma & grandpa's to celebrate my aunt & dad's birthdays. Cayson got some good cuddling with his great-grandma, aunts, & cousins. I did get a few pictures at Grandma's house.
Here's my grandma cuddling Cayson.
