Pop’s on Route 66

We took a little trip up Route 66 to Pops on Friday– a very unique restaurant and gas station that features a modern design and an amazingly huge soda pop bottle outside!

This was the view looking up from our table…. rows, and rows of pop bottles!

IMG_7990Rebecca and I stuck with our favorite beverage of choice – Dr. Pepper (the real stuff here with real sugar called Dr. Pepper Dublin)

Dusty, Taryn and Cayson did the healthy route and drank water.

We all enjoyed amazing hamburgers and french fries that were piping hot and fresh!

It was a fun experience and I can’t wait to go back… maybe for $2 Tuesdays (all hamburgers are just $2!).

And the Thunder Rolls…

The Thunder hype team rolled into W-ford today with bells and whistles. My sister, Rebecca, Cayson and I went to check it out. Lucky for Cayson, his aunt has connections and he got the hook-up including pictures with a Thunder Girl. There was only one there due to Thunder Girl try-outs being today.

Cayson immediately cuddled up to Natalie. Everyone was cracking up and then he busted out the signature thumb up. He is his daddy’s boy!

Rebecca tried her hand at the basketball shoot and didn’t completely embarrass the family. IMG_5485 IMG_5486

Cayson was a bit intimidated by these guys. Can you tell?

Wednesdays with the Jarnagins

I thought I'd share a bunch of my pics from Wednesday with you. We got to enjoy spending the whole day together! We spent some time playing in the snow! Dusty pulled Cayson around the yard on the sled. Cayson thought it was the greatest. The frozen snow covered grass

We walked down to my parents to see if Ace could play with us. Ace loves the snow! She loves to leap in the air to catch the snow when we throw it.

This picture cracks me up - Mom is sitting in the window watching and laughing, Cayson has a goofy look on his face, and Ace just looks vicious.

Redneck Sledding - using the tush to slide down the driveway. Yeah, that's how we roll around here.

Dusty & I were able to go to the OKC Thunder basketball game Wednesday night. My sister got a part-time job with the Thunder as part of an internship for her Master's. She got us free tickets to the game! Score! It was a lot of fun and the Thunder won in overtime.

The working girl with her Thunder pass. (Notice the Thunder girls in the background? Rebecca's main job is to escort them around)
So, it was a great Wednesday for us! Hope everyone is having a great week!

Football Weekend

It's football season around our house! Friday night, Dusty and I went to the Weatherford High football game. Dusty was working security at the game, so I left Cayson with Grandma & Grandaddy. It was an extremely soggy football game. It has rained nearly non-stop since we've come home and it rained most of the game. Needless to say, it was very muddy, soggy, and kind of gross. :)

Saturday evening we went to the SWOSU football game. Cayson LOVED it. He was so fascinated by all the people, the football players, the cheerleaders, and the mascot. Every time he saw Brandy the Bulldog, he just pointed and jabbered. When she would walk away, he would wave goodbye for 5-10 minutes each time - no exaggeration here! He would squeal when he saw the football being thrown or kicked and start clapping. It was so fun to watch him enjoying himself so much. I tried to get a video of him, but it didn't turn out.

Okay, I got all our vacation photos loaded to my Flickr account - you can click on the link on the right side of the blog or on the little mosaic of pics. I got descriptions on most of them and have them organized. I have been lazy since getting home - I feel like we are still on vacation so I haven't typed out a blog detailing more of our trip... maybe tomorrow. Dusty goes back to work on Tuesday and for some reason, I feel like I should be on vacation till then too.... the laundry is piling up and the house is a dirty mess. Lol.
