I smell football!

It’s football season!!!! Whoo-hoo!!! We had a fun football weekend with the Weatherford/Clinton high school game on Friday and partaking in Sooner Saturday!

Taryn sported team colors and bow for the WHS game.

As you can see, she was quite interested in the game. Ha ha. She did enjoy it. On a side-note, her leg is usually like this. I think I have a cheerleader or gymnast on my hands.

Sooner Saturday! Taryn started out in this outfit – the onesie was what Cayson came home from the hospital in. How crazy is that?

We hung out at the Smiths’ watching the game… or just visiting and playing. Taryn & Lakyn were such cuties sporting their OU colors.

As you noticed, Cayson was nearly MIA from this post… he was being camera shy this weekend so Taryn got my full photographic attention.

Memorial Day Weekend Part 2

Memorial Day started out with some playtime in Nana & Papa’s backyard…

Followed by a “swimming” afternoon!

Pool Part-ay

Our church rented the public pool last Sunday evening for a church-wide ice cream social and swim party. Cayson had a blast jumping into the pool over & over & over & over… that’s all he did the entire time.

Cayson was quite fascinated watching our pastor and his wife and others do dives & flips off the diving board and decided to imitate them by trying to jump in backwards. He kept asking to go off the diving board – I said no… Dusty said it was a good thing I was there because he would have let him! I think 2 years is a little young to go off the diving board no matter how brave you are!

4th of July Weekend: Part 2

Sunday afternoon, we had a few friends over to swim and eat. Of course, the weather happened to be a little cooler than planned but we still had fun hanging out!

We decided to get out our very old bag of fireworks (I think we’ve had them since 2003! Eek!) Cayson & Rylan loved the smoke bombs. Dusty had to try out a pop bottle rocket contraband firecracker… it kind of backfired.

  

We had an unfortunate incident with the sparklers. Cayson did one sparkler with my help. After it burned out and I was putting it up, he started crying hard. We couldn’t figure out where he was hurt and I finally spotted a soot spot in his hair. Somehow he got burned on his head. :( Poor little guy. He has a little bald spot but is recovered from the injury, I think.

Tuesday Fun

As I mentioned before, Rylan spent the day with us last Tuesday. It was a lot of fun! She & Cayson played, played, played! She was great at keeping him entertained and occupied – I actually got some housework done. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Cayson is imitating Rylan by riding his broom as a horse and wearing his fire helmet backward. He kept running around making horse noises while Rylan kept “disciplining” her horse.
