Exploring as a family

This past Memorial Day, we took the kids on a little exploring adventure to Red Rock Canyon. The day was especially windy so my hope was that the winds would be lighter down in the canyon and I was right! It was surprisingly peaceful for being a holiday. The kids had a great time exploring, hiking, finding frogs, swinging, picnicking, and more.

They found a couple of tiny frogs

A beloved magnifying glass was dropped into a creek on our hike which resulted in this rescue mission. It was successful!

It amazes me how a simple and inexpensive outing makes the biggest impression on our kids. They talk and talk about these little adventures and all it takes is a little time and planning.
