Our Dirty Santa Excitement

In the midst of our dirty santa game on Christmas, a diamond ring appeared and a proposal was made.... It is a GORG ring!!!!
And she said yes!!!!

Yea! An engagement.... meet Morgan... future bride of Stephen.... soon to be aunt to Cayson.... and my new sister in law! Fun stuff!

Christmas Eve 2008

Our Christmas Eve this year seemed very busy and crazy. I had so many things to finish up before Christmas! Baking, cooking, wrapping, running around, etc!

I made cupcakes for Jesus' birthday - a tradition for us to have a birthday cake for Jesus. I let Cayson help me decorate them this year. He loved shaking the sprinkles... all over the counter and floor... and a few made it onto the cupcakes!

We went over to my grandpa's to exchange gifts that afternoon. Great-Grandpa bought Cayson this great child size bench. Cayson loves it!

Goofy Grandpa - he always puts something silly on his head!

Cayson & Aunt RebeccaCayson got to open his Christmas Eve gift before we left for our Christmas Eve party... he got new pajamas and a little fire truck. At my uncle & aunt's annual Christmas Eve party - Cayson LOVED their stairs... up and down, up and down, up and down... it entertained him most of the evening... that and playing with all his cousins! Dusty with my cousin, LanceMy dad with Cayson and Deegan... apparently my dad takes after his father (above) by putting strange things on his head. Grandma, Grandpa and Rebecca - we were so thrilled that Grandpa came despite his difficulties from the stroke. It truly was an amazing gift from God that he could attend. My cousin, Ashley, Rebecca and me.

Cayson with two of his cousins - Ajay & Deegan. Aren't they the cutest boys ever?

I have so many pictures of these boys... we tried to get a good picture of all four (including Brayden). Brayden wasn't too interested but these boys pretty much just sat there. I think Cayson was in a sleepy daze.

More to come... soon!

I haven't had a chance to blog about our wonderful and fabulous Christmas! I did get all our pictures up on my Flickr account. You can click on the left side of my screen. I have them organized by date taken and have put descriptions on most of them.

I decided to re-organize my craft room yesterday. I'm so excited to get it rearranged and ready for crafting in 2009! I'm also ready to get the Christmas decorations down... hopefully we can get it done tomorrow.

Hope everyone had a blessed Christmas!

Three Monkeys

We attended the annual Christmas Eve party at my aunt & uncle's house this year. There are four little boys who are within a year of each other - Cayson is the youngest. This is a video of three of the boys... Brayden was off running around, so he is MIA.

Christmas in Corn

I'm rushing around like a mad woman trying to tie up all my loose ends! We have a crazy few days ahead of us. Last night we went to dinner at my grandpa's girlfriend's house in Corn... yes, there is a town called Corn. They are such a cute couple and I'm so happy that he has found someone to give him companionship after loosing the love of his life. My grandpa is 84 and Ms. Alvina is 86... isn't that cute? My aunt, uncle, and cousins from Illinois are in town so they were there as well. Anyway, Cayson had a ball running all over her house and getting tons of attention. Ms Alvina gave him a ball for his Christmas gift.... of course, he LOVES it and played with it all night long! It was a great evening to spend with our family!

My silly grandpa wearing Cayson's hat
The kids table... err, I was corrected, young adults table (Cayson & I sat here :))

So, I guess that makes this the old adults table (Dusty sat here. :))

My parents!

Now we are off to Christmas at my Grandpa's followed by the annual Christmas Eve party at Aunt Pam & Uncle Everett's.

Early Christmas for Cayson

A friend of our's gave Cayson a couple of toys that her son outgrew.... Cayson now has a zebra and rocking giraffe. He LOVES them. Last night, he would ride one for 30 seconds and then get on the other... it was back and forth, back and forth.
I came into the living room to find this!!! Kind of a scary picture. :)
Cayson wanted his daddy to ride too.

Cayson also thinks that the giraffe has to be right next to him when he's on the zebra... if I have the giraffe across the room, he drags it to the zebra.

Ring Around the Rosie

I was playing Ring Around the Rosie with Cayson and he started doing it on his own... singing and all.

On the Good Ship Lollipop!!!

I tried to get a few pictures of Cayson in front of the tree today... he is still sick, but woke from his nap in a pretty happy mood this morning... so I pulled out this cool lollipop that I picked up and we went to town. I'm not real happy with the pics... the flash on my camera was a little too bright. I may try it again with Rebecca's camera & external flash.

There are even more pictures on my Flikr so you can check those out.

A 1st at our home

Apparently, Cayson decided he had to join the club that all toddlers join... I guess he didn't feel like he was cool enough... though I try to shower him with praise, love, and affection.... but it just wasn't enough. He... ready for this... ate a crayon! And yes, it was green in color. Nice. Now he needs parental supervision when coloring... which I did discover yesterday when he decided to color on my sheet that I had out to protect my dining room table from my craft projects.

Mission Impossible

We attempted to get a picture of Cayson in front of the fireplace today for an ad for my dad's store... it was a futile attempt, I think... here are some of the pictures.... for your entertainment.

Sitting - but not smiling (probably the best of the bunch)
Showing us his best side
We tried to bribe him with the teddy...

... it didn't work. Instead, he threw it down and laid down...

... on his back... because he was set on doing the opposite of what we asked...
...then he figured out he could slide across the box...
...and plop down on the floor with a nice bump...

...apparently this is a fun game...

And these are the pictures we ended up with... pictures of a happy, active, opinionated toddler!
