We tried a new adventure this summer - picking our own bushel of sweet corn. Our local corn maze offered fresh sweet corn this summer for the first time. My dad and I took the kids out on the windiest day ever (thanks, Oklahoma) and got our fill of sweet corn. It really was a fun experience and I love teaching the kids where our food comes from.
Cayson asked me every day when we were going to pick corn. He was beyond excited to go. Once we were out there, he decided he wasn't such a big fan of the wind. He still had a good time and was a big helper and was especially delighted when he got to eat his corn.
Some people just couldn't wait to get home to try the corn... impatient people, I say.
All in all, it was a fun and educational experience! I hope we can do it again next year!
Looks wonderful. A memory that will last always.
ReplyDeleteSo fun and such a great teaching tool! The last picture is great! I can't wait to take the kids. Ryan said they probably aren't doing it again. :(
